Is it wrong to find the name Richie Incognito funny?
Now, don’t get me wrong … I’m not going to laugh to the guy’s face…. he’s 6′ 3″ and weighs 305 pounds. But how can anyone see his name and not think of the incomparable Guy Incognito from the Simpsons?
Are there really people with Incognito as their last name? Is the origin like Smith or Baker or Cooper? Did they come off the boat from the old world without a last name other than “son of Duane” and instead receive their profession as their surname? Did someone at the immigration desk ask their name and they responded with, “I’d rather not say” ?
I admit, they don’t look much alike — but isn’t that the very point?
Homer? Who is this Homer? I love Guy Incognito. =) I think I’ll use it as my nom de plume if the issue ever arises. Or maybe Lady Incognito.
Ah the Simpsons, is there any social comment they haven’t made? Also, I’m a lawyer, and the other week a guy with the last name “Innocent” had his charges withdrawn by the crown. Loved that.
